4D Signature Experience
Student Employment is a 4D signature experience that advances proficiency in the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE) career competencies. Through Student Employment, you gain career readiness skills that transfer to post-graduate work opportunities.
You will grow your skillset, deepen and apply your thinking, reflect on your interests and goals, and gain new perspectives on work, education, and life. This process of connection, reflection, and discovery delivers on the 4D Experience, providing opportunities that support your intellectual growth, character exploration, well-being, and sense of purpose.
Student Employee Training
You can receive a certification badge through Student Employees Achieve (SEA) Badging Program. We also offer professional development opportunities to all student employees. These topics are delivered with consideration of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Student Employee Toolkit
Start with the Student Employee Handbook since it gives you in-depth information such as pay scale information, work hours, responsibilities of both the employee and supervisor, and more.

PCO is DU’s job and internship board for students and it’s a one stop shop for students career needs. Students will find student employment positions, internships, & full-time opportunities on the site. You can also make appointments with career advisors and register for career & professional development events.

Please note all resumes submitted through PCO will go through an automatic review process by the Career & Professional Development staff. While this may take extra time for you if revisions are needed, it’s to support you in submitting the most competitive application possible. A quality resume will help you now and in the future.
Please allow at least 3 days before the application deadline for this step. You will not be able to submit your full application until the resume has been reviewed and approved. Due to the expected volume of applications, do not wait until right before the deadline to apply as your resume could be delayed in the review process.
To be proactive, consider comparing your current resume to resume samples on our website. Make changes prior to submission. This will increase the likelihood your resume can be approved without going through major edits, allowing you to apply to student employment positions quickly. Work-Study Questions
Work-study is a need-based financial aid award that allows students to work on campus or with an approved off-campus employer to earn money. Numerous campus positions will require that you have work study funds to apply.

F-1 and J-1 international students should review the ISSS website and contact ISSS for questions related to their eligibility to work on campus.
Timecards, Direct Deposit, and I-9
Timecards and direct deposit are managed by University Financial Services. There are resources on their website to help you navigate setting up direct deposit, updating your W-4, and logging time worked into PioneerTime. Reach out to ContactUFS@yopin365.com with any questions.
I-9 processing along with employment verification, employee records, and other administrative processes for employees are managed by the Employment Services in HRIC. For questions regarding these items you can contact employmentservices@yopin365.com.
Human Resources Partner
Student Employment also has a HR Partner available to you as a resource. A HR Partner provides support and serves as a liaison between academic units and/or non-academic divisions and Central Human Resources & Inclusive Community. Additionally, the HR Partner is available to assist all University of Denver student employees in addressing a variety of work and performance related matters.
